Audrey Woulard Workshop Baton Rouge, LA Child, Tween, and Family Photographer

A few weeks ago I went to an amazing workshop in Chicago where I learned from an amazing photographer who has a different way of seeing light and locations, I also talked about it here.  At this workshop I got to photograph a few amazing tween models.  The model in this picture is a tween named Jordan, a long time client of Audrey, and such a cute little girl!  I had so much fun and learned so much, I can’t wait to show you everything I learned in the upcoming shoots I’m planning to do.

Part of what I loved about this workshop is that Audrey taught me to look at a setting that is ordinary to the client and make it look beautiful.  This applies to photographing clients in their homes,  I have so many people tell me “my home isn’t great, let’s go to my mom’s house, it’s beautiful.”  The reason I love to photograph children in their homes is because a. they are more comfortable in their own environment, and b. if I can make a place you see every day look beautiful then that photo will mean so much more to you as you look back through it in the years to come, because you have emotional ties to your home!  Anyway, end of dorky photographer talk, you came her to see the pictures didn’t you??  I’m sorry there are no cute pictures of Major here today, but I promise you this little girl is just as cute!

Doesn’t she have the prettiest smile??

Audrey loves to get serious faces in her shots, I tend to go for more smiley shots, but this one is beautiful to me.
